The Stationery Station began in Highland Park, Illinois over 27 years ago. When a local stationer didn't offer appropriate service to the "nice and understanding" customer who waited without explanation for 6 weeks for her newborn baby's thank you notes, little did they know that she would never return to their shop --- and would become their toughest competitor!

Throughout these 27 years the store that evolved - The Stationery Station, Ltd. - has been totally committed to service and creativity. Combining our owner's English degree with a mentor's assistance we acquired fine resources and learned every aspect of this service oriented business. With this as our priority, we have become known as the leading stationery and invitation source in the area.

In May of 2001, we moved to a larger store in Port Clinton Square, still on the main street in Highland Park, Illinois.  By combining two stores we've created a larger and more exciting shopping atmosphere to accommodate our customers needs. One room is for exploring the shelves filled with great stationery, gift wrap and ribbon, invitations, greeting cards and special, related gifts. Our 2nd room offers a relaxed setting in which you'll find a wonderful selection of personalized stationery, custom invitations and birth announcements. We don't stray from the basic reason we started -- offering stationery, invitations and related gifts that are truly unsurpassed!
